Welcome to the website of Keep The Shoals Beautiful – our information source for litter prevention, waste reduction and beautification. KTSB is a non-profit affiliate of Keep America Beautiful, dedicated to promoting a cleaner, healthier and safer community and to protecting our natural resources through education, enforcement and action. We believe that behaviors, like littering, can be changed. We believe that beautification can impact our economic growth and safety. And, we believe that recycling is a choice we can embrace to keep our landfills empty and hauling fees lower.

Steve Trash and Keep the Shoals Beautiful have challenges all students (k-6 grades) within Lauderdale and Colbert Counties to maintain an environmentally friendly campus with litter prevention and recycling programs.

Hibbett had the cleanest campus!

Keep The Shoals Beautiful purchased a trailer with a Lowe’s grant.  We would like to share it and our equipment with you!  If you are hosting a Litter Free event, we have banners, portable recycle containers and trash cans available.  Or if you are having a clean up, we have litter getters, safety vests, trash bags and gloves you can use.  Please come to the Shoals Chamber of Commerce, 20 Hightower Place, Florence, Alabama, and use our equipment!

We also have litter getters for sale for $5 if you would like to purchase one which are available at the Chamber office.

Keep the Shoals Beautiful (KTSB) has set up a membership/scholarship campaign to encourage student involvement in community service projects that support a cleaner environment.

Keep The Shoals Beautiful will award a $500 cash scholarship to ONE high school student and ONE college student in the Shoals.  To be eligible, applicants must be registered in an accredited institution and must be a member of Keep the Shoals Beautiful organization.   Learn More…
